Birthing From Within® Classes

Guiding expectant parents to a deeper understanding of the physical, emotional, spiritual and social aspects of birth.

This course is based on Birthing From Within philosophy. It provides a multi-sensory, holistic approach to childbirth education. Parents will learn through interactive and creative participation, in a spirit of fun and curiosity.

Four and six-week childbirth preparation course or private session participants will explore:

* Assumptions about pain
* Learn and practice pain-coping techniques
* Transforming your fears to birth in awareness
* Honoring childbirth as a profound Rite of Passage
* Develop and strengthen communication, trust and confidence during labor and beyond
* Expectations of labor and birth
* Role of Partner and Birth Companions
* Birth Art
* How to get practical information and make conscious decisions
* Using your imagination in considering a range of possibilities about labor and birth
* The physical and emotional process of labor and birth
* Breastfeeding and newborn care
* Welcoming your baby and bonding as a family

Birthin Again
This course provides experienced parents a refresher for their next baby and provides them an opportunity to plan for the unique circumstances of this birth.
