SADIE ECK “My role is to empower a woman to know the strengths of her own motherhood. I am passionate about childbirth and empowering women to have the birth experience they most hope for. ” Sadie is a birth and postpartum doula and experienced caregiver. She is committed to helping women create a sacred and powerful journey into motherhood. She is also experienced in supporting women and their families in cesarean birth, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) and epidural birth. She received her training in 2003 from Birthingway College of Midwifery and her advanced training from Mother Tree. Her warmth and professionalism have created an enviroment that the families she cares for find immediately comforting. She has been known to be hired just from a phone conversation as well as support a mama in need, while meeting her for the first time in labor. She cares for many of her families seemlessly from pregnancy through the first months with baby. Originally from Indiana, Sadie has spent time in many different parts of the country. She volunteered for the Americorps NCCC in South Carolina. She has worked with adults and teens with severe disabilities as well as the elderly suffering with Alzheimer’s. She has also spent five years as a nanny with extensive experience with infants and multiples. When Sadie isn't loving on her clients, she is also an active mama to two lively pooches, Mohanitz (pictured) and Luka. Sadie is also our Magnificant Doula Match-Maker, helping guide couples to find the best-fit doula for their birth. Sadie helped make this pregnancy, labor and birth as beautiful and peaceful as I hoped for. --Mary, 1st time mama
