Specializing in vaginal birth after cesarean and cesarean birth postpartum, breastfeeding support, griefwork, Reiki, and Birthing From Within.

Tricia co-founded Mother Tree Birth Services with Jesse in 2001. Being an experienced labor and postpartum Doula has given Tricia insight into the process of birth. Tricia’s personal journey into birth began with the death of her husband. In the process of healing her own life she began to explore the nature of spirituality, the cycles of life and the connectedness of all beings. She became a Reiki Master and continues to use the methods of healing that transformed her life in the birth process. Tricia started the Portland Chapter of International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) to create an environment for women to heal past birth experiences and create future births.

Tricia is currently teaching Birthing From Within childbirth education courses at her home and at Oregon Health Sciences University. Teaching allows her to increase her involvement in empowering women to trust their bodies, hearts and spirits as they embrace motherhood. She also conducts private Birth Art sessions and Birthstory workshops for mothers wanting deeper exploration into the powerful images that are within to gain a deeper understanding of one’s self.
