Postpartum Depression
It does “take a village”

Survival Tips

    1. Get lots of rest & self-care (naps, meditation, baths, walks)
    2. Reach out and build a community & network of support
    3. Get adequate nutrition
    4. Support in breastfeeding (prolactin is a great postpartum stress reducer)
    5. Seek family, friends or doula support to give you adequate breaks
    6. Make a survival plan and keep to it (structure to the day)
    7. Be gentle with yourself and your new baby
    8. Take care of your spirit: journal writing, art therapy
    9. Nurture your sense of humor
    10. Postpone other major life changes
    11. Accept your negative feelings and attend to your positive feelings
