Jasmine Marotta-Jaenecke
Certified Doula

Jasmine is a labor and postpartum doula. She received her training in 2006 and 2007 at Birthingway College of Midwifery where she is also studying to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Midwifery. As a doula she strives to be a calm and professional advocate for her clients and their families, supporting them in the choices that they make about their birthing process.

She provides emotional and physical support using relaxation techniques, labor positions, massage, and aroma therapy. She is working to gain a certificate in herbal medicine and loves using herbs to support women’s health and healing both before and after birth.

Jasmine was a nanny for five years, and is passionate about working with women and families to foster empowering birth experiences, healthy beginnings and wholesome families. Postpartum she provides breastfeeding support, baby care including soothing a crying baby and understanding baby cues as well as sibling support.

In addition to her passion for assisting women and families during pregnancy and birth, Jasmine is also an artist. She previously attended the University of California in Santa Cruz, where she double majored in Fine Art with a focus in photography, and Latin American Studies with a focus in Women’s Studies. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has recently discovered an enthusiasm for working with fused glass, and she also loves organic gardening, hiking, and discovering new things.
